Ojok Oulanyah wins Omoro Parliamentary Seat with a landslide victory

 


OMORO– The National Resistance Movement candidate for Omoro County Andrew Ojok Oulanyah has won the Parliamentary Seat with 14,224

votes defeating 5 others contenders.

According to the Omoro District Returning Officer, Moses Kagona, the NRM candidate Ojok Oulanyah got the highest number of votes.

Other candidates included National Unity Platform flag bearer Toolit Okecha who got 1,633votes, Independent candidate Terrence Odong got 532 votes, Forum for Democratic Change Justine Odong got 529, another independent Jimmy Walter Onen got 95 votes and the Alliance for National Transformation flag bearer Oscar Kiiza managed to get only 63.


Omoro Parliamentary seat became vacant after the death of former Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah L’Okori who had been the MP from 2001 to 2006 and from 2011 until he died.
