Mbale City Area land committee sworn-in
The newly appointed Area land board members of Mbale City have been sworn in and issued instruments of power.
The swearing-in ceremony was held on Monday, June,13, 2022 at Mbale City Hall and presided over by Katuli Kenneth deputy Town Clerk.
The sworn in land board comprises of Paul Mugoya Wanyoto the Chairperson, SHeikh Sulaiman Mutakubwa, Mafuko Asina, and
Nasteli Emmanuel as members.
Katuli Kenneth deputy Town Clerk assured the newly sworn in members that the City council is committed to ensure that they go for induction and support them to execute their work.
Counsel Paul Mugoya Wanyoto the Chairperson of Mbale City land board, told committee members that they have not got Jobs but have a task to serve the people of Mbale city. Adding that knowing their mandate and acting within the provided laws is vital.
Wanyoto promised not to let down the City council the appointing Authority and was ready to work under any circumstances to bring back the lost glory.
Mbale city mayor Cassim Namugali asked members to serve the public diligently. He called upon the members to be very careful with the land grabbers since they know Mbale as far as land is concerned.
Namugali, urged the members of the land board to protect the integrity they have upheld for years. “You must have a name to protect."
