National Unity Platform (NUP) has taken the decision not to field a candidate in the upcoming by-election for Soroti East Constituency in Soroti City.
In a statement on it's official Twitter account, National Unity Platform vowed to back the FDC Official FDC candidate, Hon. Attan Moses. "Although we had very good potential candidates in Soroti, we are doing this in the broader interest of the unity of the Forces of Change":said Lewis Rubongoya the secretary General of national unity platform
Hon. Attan legitimately won the previous election which was interrupted by a court decision ordering for a fresh election due to vote bribery.
