POLITICS :Over 200 FDC and NUP members from Soroti East defect to NRM

 

     

More than 200 members and supporters of Forum for democratic change (FDC) &National unity Platform (NUP) have crossed to NRM,ahead of the forthcoming Soroti East constituency, by Election.

 

As campaigns gear up in Soroti East constituency in the forthcoming by election,a number of youths suspected to be from the opposition have defected their parties to join the ruling Government (NRM)

The defected members have been welcomed by the NRM vice chairman Eastern Uganda,Captain Mike Mukula who has camped in Soroti since last week .

Speaking to freeman NewsUG,the defected members accused opposition of empty promises to them,others say,Opposition has kept them in darkeness & poverty by always discouraging them from joining Government projects like Parish Development model, which would get them out of poverty.

Captain Mike mukula,Deputy speaker Timothy Tayebwa,Hon.Emmanuel Dombo,NRM chief mobilizer,Hon. Rose Ssenimde,Haji Kigongo,Hon. Richard Twodong ,Hon. Kiwanda Ssubi and other NRM top official have campped in Soroti City to hunt for votes for their Candidate,Hon.Herbart Edmund Ariko.
