NTV Uganda has finally replaced Frank Walusimbi after the senior journalist left Serena-based TV station at the end of April this year.
Frank Walusimbi who now works with The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), joined NTV when it was launching in 2006. He made viewers fall in love with the Luganda news thanks to his unique calm style.
His combination with Faridah Nakazibwe made it hard for other rival television stations to dethrone ‘Akawungeezi’ news.
After 15 years of dedicated service, he finally quit for a high paying job.
Almost
three months looking for his replacement, NTV finally settled for BBS Terefayina news anchor, Aniwalu Katamba.
His style suits Frank Walusimbi’s and he will join Faridah Nakazibwe and Sandra Nakiwala on NTV ‘Akawungeezi’.
At BBS Terefayina, Aniwalu Katamba was presenting ‘Ageesigika’ Luganda news.
Previously, Katamba worked with Biliv tv which rebranded to B24 TV.
