SHOWBZ:"Dress well while performing in Schools",Hon. Openedi to Female Musicians

The woman MP of Tororo District, Hon Achieng Sarah Opendi, has raised concerns about the dress code of some musicians who have been invited to perform in schools. The MP said that Uganda is a religious country where the constitution is followed. And in this 1995 constitution, ethical values are supposed to be upheld. More so Ugandans are supposed to be brought up with good morals.

She then cited the recent concerts in schools where musicians have been dancing in very ‘obscene and seductive ways.’ What’s more disappointing is that even the students have been joining in these dances.

The MP added that to her and other mothers out there, this is completely unacceptable. This is because there are ways that these musicians should dress when going to schools. Sarah Opendi added that some of these musicians dress almost ‘naked.’

This graduation attracted a lot of criticism, especially on the dress code of the female students. These were almost nude and the MP said that this is unbecoming.

She further said that parents need to bring up their children when they respect themselves and their bodies. Hon Opendi then advised that there should be stricter laws on how children should dress in school.
