Busoga has selected beauty queens who will represent the region at the Miss Tourism Uganda 2022, battling for the grand crown with other representatives from different parts of the country.
Speaking on the development, the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV said, “Words alone can’t describe how proud we are to have the opportunity to show the rich cultural heritage and untouched natural beauty of Busoga on an international platform through our very own tourism ambassador.”
He highlighted that this has been a historical week for Busoga as the speaker of parliament Anita Among visited the region, urging the people of Busoga to promote tourism.
“We believe that the queens have the capacity to positively impact the image of the region and improve the livelihoods of our people through tourism,” Nadiope added.
The grand finale is scheduled for 23rd September at Kampala Serena Hotel.
