KENYA:IEBC OFFICIAL KIDNAPPED

Embakasi East Constituency  Returning Officer  Mr Dan Musyoka has gone missing, officials said.

IEBC Chairman Mr Wafula Chebukati  told a Press Breafing at Bomas National  Elections tally Centre  that Mr Musyoka was last seen yesterday at 9.30am in the company of his body guards at his offices.  He is said to have been led from his offices at East African Aviation School to his  home. 

 

Mr Chebukati said Mr Musyoka is said to have excused himself to mak a phone call and disappeared.

The IEBC boss has called on Kenya police to investigate the matter in bid  to rescue Mr  Musyoka from wherever he could be holed up.

The development comes as IEBC is still tallying and verifying Presidential election results to determine the Presidential  winner.

Mr Raila Odinga (Azimio) and William Ruto (UDA) are moving neck and neck in the race.
