Prime Minister Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah has launched the Disastor cash program for people of Bududa, Manafwa ,Namisindwa and Sironko districts.
While launching the Program at Bushika Playground in Bududa, Nabbanja called for transparency during the implementation.
According to the state Minister for Disastor preparedness and refugees Esther Anyakun, the Project that is funded by Give directly intends to help landslide affected households to invest in alternative livelihoods.
Each benefiting household will receive a grant worth 7million (shs) paid into the recepients mobile money accounts.
The project will be implemented by OPM in partnership with Give Directly, an international NGO operating in Uganda.
