Isimba Hydro Power Dam is now operating above 75% following some defaults that had interrupted its operations.
This was revealed by engineers at Isimba Hydro power station today during an impromptu working visit by the prime minister Robinah.
Engineer Brijet Lakwanye, an electrical engineer at Isimba says that currently 3 units are running out of the four.
The Engineers took the Premier on a guided tour of the whole dam to establish the damage that was caused by the mishap that occurred recently.
Nabbanja after inspecting the dam assured the country that everything is being done to rectify the situation.
Nabbanja committed to convene a follow up inter ministerial meeting to discuss how the identified defects and challenges at the dam can be addressed.
Nabbanja was accompanied by the ministers Of state for higher Education Dr. John Chrysestom Muyingo, Lugoloobi for finance and Alice Kaboyo for Luwero-Rwenzori.
Later in the day visited Kayunga Regional Referral hospital to assess the services offered there.
