Ahamada washaki, the resident city commissioner Mbale city, has revealed that 23 medics have been arrested on allegations of conveying with government health workers of Mbale referral hospital to ferry patients out of the facilitytheir private clinics.
RCC, Washaki noted that 8 medics were Government health workers and the 15 were private medics. "most of this clinic's don't have qualifications and unprofessional medics,they even stole government drugs into the private clinics" said Washaki.
I've noted that Government health workers also run game of extorting money from patients as they refer them to these private clinics.
RCC Washaki highlighted that this operation was done by team state house health monitoring unit, Mbale city health inspector , security and office of RCC.
The arrested medics were from Ebenezer medical center,East-link laboratories,Grace laboratories,Marie stopes health center are being detained at Mbale central police station as they extract investigation .
