𝐕𝐏 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐩𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐔𝐒 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬

 

The Vice President of the Republic of Uganda Major Jessica Alupo Epel Rose on Thursday morning met a team of solar energy investors from USA and Israel. 

The team was led by Chief Executive Officer of Gigawatt Global Mr. Josef Abramowitz and other technical staff from the organization. 

The Vice President and the delegation from Gigawatt Global discussed the opportunities of investment in solar plants.

Major Alupo said that the team will pilot the first project in Kyenjojo District before they spread their technological progress across the country. 

Josef Abramowitz thanked the Vice President for welcoming him and his delegation and having time to discuss development issues about solar energy systems.

 He said that if Uganda embraced the project, it will lower the cost of electricity across the country.
