While speaking to hundreds of mourners who had converged in Omodoi Village, Soroti District for the burial of his Eldest brother, George Ekochu, Easter region NRM National chairman, Flt Captain Mike Mukula assured the public that he will use his private intelligence team from Arrow Security, together with all security Agencies in the country to hunt down all those thugs who brutally murdered his brother.
George Ekochu, the Eldest Cousin brother to Captain Mike Mukula, was murdered by unknown thugs on Tuesday 13th September 2022 near his residential home in Namugongo.
Captain Mike Mukula further said that after receiving the sad news, He immediately ordered for a crackdown in the nearby suburbs, where five suspects were arrested.
“This operation was only in one location around the murder scene, the suspects who were apprehended dazed with opium their colleagues were out obviously carrying out illegal activities…. who are over 50 in number” said Mike Mukula.
The arrested suspected criminals were found in possession of bags full of wallets, ladies’ handbags, car number plates, National IDs etc., Security was shocked to find out that the suspects also had Opium bottles and containers of drugs.
Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Mr Patrick Onyango, on Thursday told this publication that the unit is charged with the duty of getting rid of all the criminal gangs around the city and on Wednesday alone, 60 suspects who had been operating around Spear Motors were arrested and are currently being screened.
“The public should stop thinking that the Police is not doing anything, the impact is being felt in suburbs where this criminality has been happening. Of course it is still a work in progress,” he said.
Late George Ekochu, was laid to rest yesterday 17th September 2022, at his Home village in Omodoi Village, Soroti District.
