Hon Shamimu - We were hosted at the African court here in Arusha,Tanzania.This court was established by African Union to promote and protect human rights on the African continent by "WAGADUGU PROTOCAL" of 1998 which became operational in the year 2006 after being ratified by member states.
Uganda ratified this PROTOCAL but has not signed a declaration allowing it's citizens and NGO's to file cases against it in this court. Uganda has had three judges working at this African court.The quorum of court is eleven judges.
We interracted with the newly appointed Judge from Ghana His Lordship Dennis Dominic Adjei,senior legal officer Meredith Deborah Lwanga and we sincerely thank the court registrar Dr.Robert W.Eno and deputy registrar Nouhou Madani Diallo for hosting us.
