1,023 residents of Kampala being traced after getting in contact with 14 confirmed Ebola cases of mulago.

Ministry of health Uganda, has embarked on a search for 1,023 people in Kampala who got in contact with the 14 confirmed cases in mulago.

According to the ministry the 14 cases who are in mulago originated from Mubende and kasanda who migrated to Kampala before lockdown.  

Dr Ruth Aceng, revealed that on  23rd Oct 2022, nine (9) individuals were confirmed positive for Ebola in Greater Kampala region, which brought the total number of cases to 14 in the last 48 hours.

cases registered in Kampala are in:-Rubaga (11), Makindye (1), Nansana (1 ), Seguku (2)

The current total Ebola confirmed cases countrywide stands at 90 people and 20 deaths Recorded.

Dr. Henry Mwebesa, Director General Health Services, has called up on the the residents of Kampala to be vigilant.
