Faridah Nampiima, Director of traffic police has confirmed a fatal accident at Nateete police station. According to police, today morning 27th.oct.2022, Natete police station registered a fatal accident involving one motor vehicle and five motorcycles, at about 0830/c at Kabuusu round about in Rubaga Division.
The motor vehicle involved is Reg no UBH 321T Isuzu Elf that was being driven by a one Ssembatya Gerald, while the five motorcycles involved were all bajaj boxers, UFN 226F, UET 422T, UEZ 579U, UFH 520P, UEX 504C and a bicycle (sport bike).
The cause of the accident has been attributed to the Isuzu ELF truck which lost control while coming from Rubaga road and rammed and knocked five motorcycles and bicycle that were entering Kabusu roundabout".
The Rubaga accident happened just hours after another truck crashed into Awoja swamp along Soroti –Mbale highway, killing 5 cattle traders and injuring 7 others.
