11 pupils are suspected to have died in a fire out break at Salaam School of the Blind, In Ntengeru-Kisoga sub county, MUKONO district.
Information on our desk indicates that the girls dormitory caught fire last night the 24th of October 2022, at 1am.
Eye witnesses say several others have been badly injured.

Uganda police Statement on Mukono Fire outbreak
The Police at Mukono are investigating a fire outbreak that took place today at about 1am at SALAMA School for the Blind in Luga Village , Ntanzi parish , Ntejeru Kisoga town council in Mukono district .
The cause of the fire is currently unknown but so far 11 deaths as a result of the fire have been confirmed while 6 are in critical conditions and admitted at Herona Hospital in Kisoga .
