President Museveni donates 80 Million shillings to Bukedi Diocese in Eastern Uganda.

 

The donation was delivered by the Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah during the golden jubilee celebrations for Bukedi diocese.

H.E Museveni urges all Christians to continue being agents of positive change in society.

The President asserts that, the Christian Ministry must help the followers to achieve decent

standards of living on earth besides

preparing them for heaven by encouraging  them to work hard.

The Archbishop of the church of Uganda Dr Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu was the day's main celebrant. He called upon the people of Bukedi to transcend tribal differences.

The Premier laid a foundation stone for the construction of the golden jubilee house for the diocese. She donated 20 million shillings.

The day was marked under the theme "growing in unity and self sustainability.

Defence state Minister Jacob Oboth Oboth, area MPs, Bishops, local leaders graced the occasion among others.
