As per Uganda’s longest serving opposition leader Kizza Besigye, the NRM party murders the opposition and its supporters in the same way. He was open that no citizen is safe in Uganda because the people are reluctant to rise up and oppose what is unfair.
Kizza Besigye alleged that certain powerful politicians next to President Museveni have died in well organized accidents. As per the opposition leader, it’s the truth that president Uganda is a harsh and inhumane dictator who must be forced out of office.
Kizza Besigye said that the citizens of Uganda will one day fight against all the evil acts by the government. He stressed that issues of governance must be looked with a fresh angle.
Its something true to him that some of the opposition and NRM Leaders who have died in accidents were planned for such. Besigye said that for Uganda to win, the military and citizens must stand up and oppose all forms of inhumane because they will suffer for a long time if they do not act.
A few days ago, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, called on government to extensively look into reckless driving on the roads to curb accidents.
During the plenary sitting of Thursday, 24 November 2022, Tayebwa in his communication to the House, said that although there has always been a rush to judge Boda Boda riders when after an accident, many times reckless car drivers are the cause of these accidents.
His communication stems from the death of a staff of Parliament, Mark Bahati, who was knocked by a car while riding on a Boda Boda along the Northern Bypass on 14 November 2022. Bahati later succumbed to his injuries at Nakasero Hospital.
Government, Tayebwa said, needed to extensively look into issues of reckless drivers who cause accidents on the road. He says that whereas the government is looking at organising boda boda riders, there is a need to look at the transport sector extensively.
