Cavendish university in preparation for Inauguration for Benjamin Mkapa memorial Lecture 2022 with the theme :" Role of integrity and resilient leadership in transformation.
The event will take place on the 30th November 2022, at Serena Hotel in Kampala and according to the university administration, the guest of honor will be the former speaker of Parliament and minister of East Africa, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.
Benjamin Mkapa served as Cavendish University Chancellor from 5th Dec 2014 - 24 July 2020.
Benjamin William Mkapa was the third president of Tanzania, in office from 1995 to 2005. He was Chairman of the Revolutionary State Political Party.
Mkapa died on 24th July 2020 and was buried in Ndanda Tanzanian.
