Kampala District Woman Member of parliament, Hon. Shamim Malende has embarked on a task of of distributing reflector jackets to Boda boda riders in Kampala.
Hon. Shamim Malende together with her team were able to distributed over 600 reflector jackets to boda riders in different parts of Kampala.
According to Hon. Malende jackets are free of charge and the activity is targeting over 3,000 boda boda riders in Kampala district.
Malende further says that as a leader she was so concerned seeing arrests being done to boda riders without reflector jackets by police during the enforcement.
"As a leader I am so concerned about the arrests and impound of motorcycles of my people, I may not be in position to give the jackets to every rider but I will try to do what I can as a leader" Malende.
