Mafia is fighting me, I've Not stepped Down yet -Dr Oledo - President-UMA

Controversial Uganda Medica Association (UMA) president Dr Samuel Oledo, has trashed the News circulating, indicating that he had stepped  down as the association president.

In our exclusive interview with the frustrated Medical Dr, he claims that "mafia is fighting him and generating all kinds of stories to see him out of the position.

"I am still the president of UMA, I've not stepped down & neither have I resigned from my position as the president of Uganda medical Association, so kindly ignore the circulating propaganda" said Dr Oledo.

Although Dr Luswata Herbert, Secretary  General UMA had yesterday 6th December 2022, confirmed to our news desk that Dr Oledo had stepped aside.

Oledo has been under fire for leading a group of medical professional donning in clinical coats to attend an NRM youth Symposium in Kololo Where the knelt before president Museveni and said Doctors of Uganda are seeking him to stand  for presidency again in 2026 , a position that was never endorsed by the members.  

Dr Oledo has confirmed to us that he will soon issue an official statement in relation to the same.

Now According to Luswata, UMA's existing ethics committed has been tasked to handle the matter in lines with the constitution of the association.

On Tuesday the Doctors under the umbrella of UMA  muted call and held a successful meeting to collect signatures to impitch the association president for misconduct.
