ForteBet and two others to close Business in Uganda by 2023.

ForteBet Uganda and more two other gaming companies are expected to close business in Uganda according to the gaming regulatory Board.

National Lotteries and Gaming  Regulatory Board (NLGRB) has issued a notice on the 6th December 2022, confirming the closure of Forte bet, Capitabet and Wang Gwan casino in Uganda. 

"Please be informed that the operators listed below have neither applied to renew their licences nor intend to apply as new applicants in 2023. Also be reminded that a full list of licenced gaming operators are on our website at lgrb.go.ug"-  NLGRB

According to the regulatory Board, the  above Betting / Casino Companies have neither applied to renew their licences nor intend apply as new applicants in 2023. 

The said operators have notified the National lotteries and gaming regulatory board that they shall not conduct Betting, Gaming or Casino in year 2023.

Fort bet has been among the leading betting Companies in Uganda with more than 400 branches and directly employing approximately 1,300 Ugandans, who work as Supervisors, cashiers, Managers, Security and cleaners.
