JUST IN: MP Serere, Patrick OKabe & wife perishes in an Accident In Budaka District

Hon. Patrick Okabe (MP)  Serere and his wife have died in a road accident in Naboa Budaka District.

The accident happened early this morning on 19th December 2022 at 7am.

According to eye witnesses, trailer Number KCX 071K which was heading to Mbale  lost control and knocked a Land cruiser number UBK 995F, which belongs to Hon. Okabe.

It is said that MP OKabe who was  in the behind seat died on spot, his wife Passed on as she was being rushed to Mbale Hospital in critical conditions.

ASP Faridah Nampima, Traffic and Road Safety Directorate, attributes the accident to reckless driving by the FUSO driver, who was over speeding and drifted from his side to the side of the Land Cruiser.

Nampima confirms that the driver of the FUSO Box Body is on the run after causing the accident.

One of the family members told our reporters that Bishop Okabe Patrick attended Church and even ministered yesterday's Sunday Service   

According to the family member PR and his wife left their home at 6:45AM for Parliamentary duties.

"Death is indeed picking us at random, you can't tell who's next. Let's repent" - family member . 

Bishop Patrick Okabe, Now the late owns a churches in uganda, which are under Impact Ministries. He also owns impact FM mbale and a school in Kumi.

He join politics in 2021 and contested as member of parliament for Serere on NRM ticked. 

He has been in parliament for just two years as serere member of parliament.
