Late Serere County Mp Okabe to be replaced by one of his Sons in the forthcoming by- Election.

Deputy Speaker, Tayebwa with children of the late during the burial of their father and mother 

NRM Vice Chairperson Eastern region, Capt Mike Mukula has pledged to listen to the plea of the people of Serere county to have a son of the late Patrick Okabe take his mantle in parliament for the remainder of the term.

Captain Mukula made this  remark during the send off of late Hon. Bishop Patrick Okabe and wife yesterday 24th December 2022 in Serere.

The family agreed that    Omoding Emmanuel one of the sons out of the three will be running for the seat to replace his father in the 11th parliament.

Others who Who endorsed that the Son Should replace  the late father include :-  Deputy speaker Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, Government chief whip Hon Hamson Obua and other leaders.

Late Hon. Bishop patrick Okabe  and his wife perished in a nasty accident in Budaka on monday 19th December 2022 and were laid to rest in Oburin, Ochapa Town council, Serere district.
