The leadership of National Unity platform has to 24th December 2022 gifted food items to its foot soldiers, relatives of the political prisoners as we near to christmas day.
While addressing media at the offices of National Unity platform Head offices in kamwokya, Lewis Rubogoya, the NUP secretary General told journalists that the foot items were donated to them by well wishers, supporters from the diaspora and leaders of national unity platform.
"We cant pay these people with anything other than being together with them in all aspects, these people have their relatives in different prisons but same of them were parents or were bread winners in there families" - Lewis Rubogoya
Today, we continued our tradition of sharing Christmas packages with the families of our detained comrades, those who have been disappeared and those who have been killed over the years. This is the least we can do to try and ease the burden on the shoulders of these families. Ultimately, our bigger aim and call to ensure that we get justice for their people.
The party president Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi used the opportunity to respond to Gen Otaffire on the continuance abductions in the country.
Bobi wine also talked about the deteriorating economic situation, the human rights abuses, as well as the general state of insecurity- whether real or engineered.
He also encourage everyone who has some means to reach out to those who do not have means and share something with them.
