Bobi Wine guard & 3 others Charged for damaging a drone in which they were kidnapped.



The bodyguard of National Unity Platform (NUP) leader, Hon. Robert Kyagulnyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, alongside three others, were on Friday 9th December 2022, arraigned in Mengo magistrates court and charged with the offense of damaging a drone belonging to security.

Jamushid Kavuma, Godfrey Kirumira, Mureme Steven and Ahumuza Patrick were charged with damaging a drone number  UBG 160M, owned by CPL Kambale Nelson.

The four were sent in Luzira till 14th December 2022 for Court bail application. 

They were picked  on November 5 by a man in military attire and three other plain-clothed armed men from Gladiator Paradise in Rubaga division.

 Speaking to jamshid while in court, he says that they were tortured during the illegal arrest to an extent of shooting him in thigh.

In a tweet, after the news of charges against his body guard, Bobi Wine wondered how his people committed the offense before they were arrested.



“The impunity, abuse of authority and capture of our criminal justice system (is awful)”.Wine tweeted.

Over 25 NUP supporters have been arrested over the past 4month. President Museveni linked them to fun robbing and police attacks.
