Just In. Omoro county recent NUP MP candidate Simon Tolit passes On.

 


Former Omoro County Member of Parliament and recent NUP candidate for the Omoro byelection, Simon Tolit has passed on.


Information from our reporter in Gulu indicates that the former Omoro County Mp Aspirant under National Unity platform has passed on.


He passed on this afternoon from Lacor hospital where he was admitted over the weekend.

Tolit has been a great opposition member who for several times contested as Member of parliament Omoro county. 


He was Omoro county MP in the eighth parliament but got defeated by late jacob Oulanyah in 2011 election


Late Olunyah again beat him in February 18, 2021 parliamentary election.


Tolit had previously contested  for the same seat in the by-Election last year against the son of late speaker jacob Aulanyah, Andrew Ojok Oulanyah but again lost.


He was a strong Forum for democratic change FDC but mid  last year crossed to National Unity platform (NUP).
