Kadod Karnival 2nd edition to boost Elgon Region Tourism.

 


Kadodi Karnival is back again with a motive of promoting Elgon region tourism including the imbalu dance and Masaba land dance known as "kadodi".



According Maggie kisaale  marketing manager Kimaru Foundation and CEO kadodi Karnival, this event is set to take place on the 7th of may 2023 at UMA Show Grounds Lugogo.




"Kadodi karnival was created for export to bring together sons and daughters of masaba land in company of their friends and family to celebrate their rich culture, dress code, business exhibitions etc"- Maggie Kisaale - CEO.

Maggie further says that apart from promotion of culture, Kadodi Karnival also aims at promoting of tourism of Masaba land as a region.




''At the event, we allow exhibition where by different individual showcase items like food from Masaba land, Dressing, Drinks, Touring Sites, Dance and Music Instruments'' said Maggie.






The kadodi Karnival 1st edition was held last year at the uganda museum and attracted thousands of revellers.


According to study, kadodi is the 2nd largest cultural dance in the world, after the Rio Carnival in Brazil known as "Samba" With over two million people taking to the streets to party every day.
