This week all Members of parliament left what they were doing and rushed to Parliament as if they were going to handle issues that would benefit Ugandans, however their energy to Censor a minister may end in tears, after the censured State Minister for Lands, Hon. Persis Namuganza today trashed her censure by the parliament, calling it comedic and a waste of time.
Namuganza while speaking to freeman News UG. at the sidelines of the Liberation day celebrations in Kakumiro District said that the only person who can relieve her from duties as Minister is Gen Yoweri Museveni, who appointed her to the position but not any one else in this country.
“Iam still the state minister for lands. I can only just laugh to those that censured me in parliament. Is it them who appointed me? It’s only President Museveni who can fire me.” said Namuganza.
Namuganza further added that it’s a pity that some members of Parliament are used like tools to fight other peoples war.
