PM Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah has commissioned 13 tractors to farmer groups and individuals in Bunyoro andTooro Subregions.
The event was held at Kakumiro district headquarters in Kakumiro town.
These are part of the tractors, assorted farm input equipment and accessories that were recently procured by Ministry of Agriculture and flagged off by President Museveni to beneficiaries in the entire country.
Nabbanja urged the beneficiaries to utilize the equipments communally at minimal rates for increased production and productivity.
According to Eng. Okanya Boneface a Commissioner in the Ministry of agriculture, the tractors have 1000hrs of free service,3yrs warranty and an Installed satellite led monitoring system for efficiency purposes.
He says the equipment and other assorted farm inputs given out can be used in grinding, threshing, milling, irrigation among other functions.
The LCV Chairperson Kakumiro, Deputy RDC , CAO, Bugangaizi east MP Aisa Agaba Black, technical officers witnessed the function.
