There has been friction between the Uganda police and the former FDC presidential Dr Kizza Bisigye today morning.
Police blocked former Dr Kizza Besigye from attending an #EACOP debate in which he's one of the panelists at Emerald Hotel in Kampala.
While speaking to media, Dr Besigye condemned the act of police blocking him from attending an indoor event.
“The First Son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has been all over the country holding public rallies but police can't allow an indoor discussion?” - Besigye.
Our reporter Arnold Musamali also informed us that Emerald Hotel, venue of a meeting to discuss Uganda’s Oil Sector, was barricaded by Police & Miltary as early as 6am today.
The DPC, SP Himumbire, said no one is allowed into the hotel unless they produce a written authorisation of Inspector General of Police (IGP).
This was refered to as acts Under no law and just Impunity by Dr Besigye.
