"We Made a wrong choice, Come back and represent us in Parliament"- Mityana residents ask Minister Nabakooba.

Residents of Mityana District have asked Lands Minister Judith Nabakooba to come back in 2026 and represent them in Parliament.

This was during a thanksgiving ceremony held by the minister at her home in Mityana on Monday, 02 January 2023.

Under their association, Ngandwe Parish Butayunja, the residents thanked Ms Nabakooba for her outstanding efforts towards helping Mityana people develop in different aspects, including solving land wrangles.

The association chairman, Tamale Robert, explained that if it wasn't for the efforts of Minister Nabakooba, they would helpless and homeless and it's the reason they are pleading with her to come back 2026 and represent them in Parliament.

They also asked her to kindly schedule an appointment with the President so that they can meet him.

Nabakooba lost her Woman MP seat to Joyce Bagala Ntwatwa who contested on NUP ticket .

Bagala beat Lands Minister Nabakooba in the January 14 polls for the Mityana Woman MP position, prompting the latter to challenge the election in court. But she also lost the petition.
