Happening Now: Kampala Minister Hon Kyofatogabye & KCCA ED Dorothy kisaka are before the National Economy Committee over the World bank loan to construct roads.

KCCA ED Dorothy kisaka- the project is starting to pick up. KCCA is closely monitoring the contractors to ensure compliance of the social and environmental safeguards and to minimize delays. KCCA is also putting in all efforts to engage the relevant approvers such as the solicitor General and Nema to expedite the necessary approvals

Recently the Government of Uganda received USD 288 million to be financed by the Bank Group ( ADB : 77.8% ) Global Environmental fund ,GEF ( 0.7%) $ Government of Uganda ( 3.8%) towards the cost of the Kampala city roads Rehabilitation project. 

The implementation period is 4 Years stretching from July 2021 to June 2025.
