M7 - Gives each Journalist 500,000/- in the just concluded UJA symposium in Kyambogo

 


While delivering a lecture of opportunity at the closure of the journalists’ 5-day Residential Symposium on Socio-economic in transformation at Kyambogo University grounds over the weekend, president Yoweri Museveni issued an order to state house controller ,responsible for the symposium to give each Journalist Five hundred thousand shillings (500,000/-).

This was after when several journalists complained of no pay at their work places and others told him how broke they were. 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni also reiterated that the only way to achieve prosperity in Uganda is through ensuring socio-economic transformation for all.

“For us, our strategic goals in public affairs are; prosperity for all the people, strategic security and emphasizing the fraternity of the African people not tribes or religion,” Gen Museveni said, adding that politics should be about solving the needs of the people which are the same and not diverting them into things which have no value addition to them.
