Kawempe North member of parliament, Hon. Ssegirinya Muhammad yesterday met with the National Unity platform president, Hon. Robert kyagulanyi Ssentamu commonly known as Bobi. wine at his home in Magere.
This was the first meeting between Ssegirinya and Bobi wine ever since the two members of parliament were granted bail, after spending seventeen months in prison.
Bobi wine welcomed him from the long period of alleged illegal detention and thanked him for holding up to date. Bobi wine also revealed that he also spoke to Hon. Allan Ssewanyana.
"I also got a call from Hon. Allan Sewanyana. Both comrades assured me that their commitment to our struggle for freedom and democracy still stands firm"- Bobi Wine.
While in a one-on-one with Bobi wine, Ssegirinya assured the NUP president that he is committed to the struggle for freedom and democracy.
"I still stand firm despite threats from security, I will soon address the nation and respond to the questions many people have been asking" - Ssegirinya.
Ssegirinya and ssewanyana are facing charges of treason, and murder of over 30 people in greater Masaka (Bijambiya killings)
