NUP Wameli's Body is to be repatriated soonest.

The National Unity platform is in the final stages of repatriating  Anthony Wameli's body back to Uganda.

The National Unity Platform (NUP) leadership is in talks with the American embassy to have the body of the party's legal head Anthony Wameli repatriated home soonest following his death on the 8th of Feb 2023, from the USA. 

According to the National Unity Platform (NUP), Wameli was undergoing treatment for abdominal cancer but didn't Make it.

Yesterday evening, at Brasco memorial chapel in Boston,  NUP secretary general, David Lewis Rubongoya joined the family, community of Ugandans, and other friends at a public viewing service for the late Wameli Anthony Yeboah. 

In his condolence message on behalf of the National Unity Platform which counsel Wameli served very passionately, Mr. Lewise said that there will be a memorial service on Sunday 26th, 2023,  at St. Peter's Church, 129 Lexington St. Belmont, MA. All community members are welcome and invited to attend. 

"Right now, all arrangements are set for the return of the body to Uganda, but we are still waiting on the requisite documentation to be completed"- Said Lewis Rubongoya.

According to Lewis, burial arrangements will be communicated in conjunction with the family, as soon as the specific date of the arrival of the body is established.
