Yes! I Got OPM Iron sheets but i never requested for them: Speaker Among defends herself.

The speaker of the parliament of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Anita Annnet Among  has admitted to have received the iron sheets from the office the office of prime minister. 

The speaker made this statement today 28th Feb 2023, as parliament resumed business after a two weeks MPs break off to oversee parish development model.

Although she got the iron sheets, the speaker shocked members of parliament when she said that she was also just told that her iron sheets had arrived in Bukedea District.

"I was shocked to find iron sheets in my constituency (Bukedea). I had to give them to schools that needed them.

I want every one to carry his or her own cross and I think karamoja has a minister responsible for karamoja affairs"- Speaker Among. 

According to records, Speaker of parliament Anita Annet Among received 500 pieces of Iron Sheets. She is also Bukedea district Woman Mp. They were picked using car registration number UG0582Z on 25 June, 2022. The driver who picked them has been identified as Denis Matsiko.

One Amongi, a Head teacher at Bukedea Comprehensive School (BCS) received them on her behalf. They were also witnessed by one John Mwanje who is the school’s store keeper.
