The church of Uganda (COU) Archbishop, Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has this afternoon arrived in Mbale Diocese for his four-day Pastoral Visit.
He was welcomed at Kamonkoli by Rt Rev John Wilson Nandaah, the Bishop of Mbale Diocese, Clergy, officials from UCU Mbale and jubilant Christians.
Tomorrow, the Archbishop will visit Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mbale where he will meet students, leadership, and staff. Later, he will celebrate Service with the university congregation at St. Andrew's Cathedral, Mbale.
He will also visit Marare Parish and St. Paul Church of Uganda, Bugobero Parish.
On Saturday, the Archbishop will visit St. Mark Bubulo Archdeaconry Headquarters, where he will lay the foundation stone for the Archdeaconry House and lead Service. He will also meet with Compassion Kids, staff, and Clergy.
He will then pay a courtesy call on Bishop Emeritus Samwiri Wabulakha before visiting Nabumali Archdeaconry, where he will lay a foundation stone and lead Service and later visit Nabumali High School to bless the School Chapel and other School Projects.
On Sunday, he will lay a foundation stone for the new Deanery offices, dedicate the Cathedral Deanery Hall, and lead a Holy Communion Service at St. Andrew's Cathedral, Mbale.
Later, he will proceed to Burukuru where he will lay a foundation stone and launch the BCDI project.
Archbishop will conclude his Pastoral Visit in the Diocese on Monday with the groundbreaking of the multipurpose Diocesan House and the Revival House before meeting with heads of Church of Uganda founded Schools.
