Ministers who are expected to be knifed as M7 plan for a Mini-cabinet reshuffle.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is reportedly planning to knife over seven ministers in a looming cabinet reshuffle, just less than two years into the five-year term.

Freeman News-UG has exclusively got a list of ministers impacted by the next reorganization of Ministers.

According to our informers, the following ministers may not reflect in the next cabinet, as president Museveni plans to make changes soon.

Hon. Aidah Erios Nantaba to bounce back on cabinet.

Minister for Karamoja affairs, Mary Gorreti Kitutu, state ministers Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi (Youth and Children Affairs), Alice Kaboyo (Luweero Triangle), and Harriet Ntabazi (Trade), Persis Princess Namuganza (State Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban).

Others on the list include the Second Deputy Prime Minister; Gen. (Rtd) Moses Ali, Minister Betty Ongom Amongi (Gender, Labour and Social Development), Hon Francis Mwebesa (Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives), and Eng. Hilary Obolaker Onek (Relief, Disaster Preparedness, and Refugees).

Minister  Kitutu also a woman MP in the Manafwa district is in the spotlight for diverting karamoja relief items including iron sheets, food, and goat money, this is the main reason why president Museveni is expected to drop her.

According to information obtained by this website, Hon Mateke who is the elected woman representative for Kisoro District has reportedly failed to fill her father’s shoes Mr Philemon Mateke.

Minister Persis Princess Namuganza, also a representative of Bukono County in Namutumba District, in the 11th Parliament is also named among those not to reflect on the new list of ministers. Namuganza was recently censured by fellow members of parliament.

Whereas for Hon Ntabazi, the problems with the rice trade are believed to be the reason why he faces the knife after he has allegedly failed to address the crisis, causing government losses.

Minister Amos Lugoloobi is a Ugandan politician. He is currently the state minister for finance and planning and the representative member for Ntenjeru north, Kayunga District in the Ugandan 11th Parliament.

He is also in the spotlight for taking Karamoja iron sheets and using them to roof his pig shed.

Rose Lilly Akello is a Ugandan politician and social worker representing Karenga District as the district woman member of parliament in the eleventh parliament of Uganda. In the ninth and tenth parliament, she served as the district woman member of parliament representing Kaabong District.

Akello's and involving herself in taking karamoja iron sheets could be the reason of her drop.

Sources familiar with the appointment and demoting authority also reveal that for Gen Moses Ali, his ageing status and poor health could be why Mr Museveni is considering to retire him, while for Betty Amongi, the recent struggles with the NSSF may be a factor for her to be reshuffled.

The source further reveals that whereas some government officials may be dropped, some will reportedly be transferred to new dockets in the changes to be announced in an unspecified period

Freeman News-UG couldn’t verify this information by press time as no official statement had been released publicly from government sources.
