Former Headmaster of Bumbo Senior Secondary School, Mulago Joseph, and members of the Board of Governors have been summoned to appear before the education standing committee of Namisindwa District Local Government over Misuse of School Funds.
Alex Molokoye, the Chairperson of the education committee, says Bumbo has issues that need urgent answers. He branded the recent handover report by former Headmaster Mulago Joseph as half-baked, adding that it lacked the required evidence. Molokoye says they want the headmaster and board members to explain how the school accumulated debts to a tune of 103 million.

revealed that he summoned members of the Board of Governors from chairperson Kitutu Fredrick, and members Walwanyi David, Soita Simon Peter, Nyungu Paul, Mayeku Peter Wabuya, Nasila Fred, Namaande Benard among others for a discussion on matters surrounding the state of affairs at Bumbo SS.

Moses Mudidiri, the new Headmaster, in his status report to the Namisindwa District Chief Administrative Officer, expressed with concern the issues that may his settling at the school Among others, he listed a debt of 115 million, lack of latrines for teachers etc.
Emma Bwayo, the Namisindwa Male Youth Councilor, commended the committee chairperson for timely interventions. Bwayo, who's also a member of the committee however says whereas Rule 91(D) Rule 91(D) empowers the committee to summon any person to appear before it to give evidence under oarth or affirmation, the committee does not pick business outside the directives of council.
He explains that the district council, through the speaker, has to formally send the matter to the committee.
