"My Friend Wavamunno is still Alive" - Captain Mukula refutes death reports circulating on Social media .




Ugandan billionaire, Gordon Wavamunno, is still alive, according to Captain Mike Mukula's official tweet midst of rumors on  Monday afternoon of his alleged demise on social media.

NRM vice chairperson Eastern, and a friend of Mr. Wavamunno has refuted reports that his friend is dead. 

"My friend Gordon Wavamuno is getting excellent treatment in Germany and I am in touch with the family,PLEASE ignore negative or nefarious messages" -Captain Mukula.



Wavamunno, 79, is the chairman of Spear Group, a vast business empire comprising various ventures including insurance, automobile distribution, textiles, manufacturing, construction, real estate, agriculture, and media, among others.

Nakuya expressed Wavamunno’s displeasure with the rumors, adding that he is already “pissed by these rumors”. Many high-profile Ugandans have been pronounced dead before, only to later appear at public functions, making it difficult to verify the authenticity of such rumors.

Rumors about Wavamunno’s failing health have been circulating in Uganda’s business community. He is considered one of the country’s wealthiest individuals and is renowned for his successful business ventures.

Spear Motors, one of his companies, began as a small garage in 1973 and is now Uganda’s largest auto dealership. Wavamunno is the sole distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Uganda and also holds exclusive rights to Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler automobiles and parts. Furthermore, Spear Motors is the only authorized dealer of Deutz Fahr tractors and farm machinery in Uganda.

Apart from his business pursuits, Wavamunno also owned WBS Television and served as the honorary consul of Hungary to Uganda.
