Transported from Milan Italy, the casket containing the body arrived at Entebbe International airport aboard Turkish Airlines at 3:45am.
It was received by the Gen David Muhoozi State Minister for internal affairs in company of Former Deputy attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana, the widow Janet Muhakanizi and a cross-section of relatives and friends.
Keith Muhakanizi aged 64 who was serving as Permanent secretary in the office of the Prime Minister succumbed to cancer on 13th April 2023 in Milan Italy where he had gone to seek for specialised treatment.
Today, government will hold official funeral service for the late at Kololo Ceremonial grounds and president Museveni is expected to be the Chief Mourner.
Muhakanizi will be laid to rest on Sunday 23rd in Lyantonde District.
