Enanga warns NUP MPs Ssegirinya & Ssewanyana Against Holding a mega demonstration as they are expected to report in parliament today.

The Uganda Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga has issued a stern warning to bailed National Unity Platform party lawmakers Allan Ssewanyana of Makindye West and his counterpart Muhammad Ssegirinya of Kawempe North to abandon their plan to stage demonstrations.

Addressing a presser this yesterday morning at the Naguru police headquarters, Enanga revealed that they had got information that the two MPs are planning demonstrations.

“We still want to warn politicians who are still planning to hold unlawful assemblies and riots. Last week, we disrupted two unlawful assemblies, one in Kampala, around Mini Price, where we charged 11 suspects to courts including their ring leader Sserunkuma John Bosco.

The other incident was in Fort Portal municipality, where the former Mayor of Fort Portal Municipality, Rev. Muhanga Kintu Willy, mobilised several members and stormed the NARO offices,” he explained.

“This week we have credible intelligence for plans by both Hon. Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya to hold unlawful assembly and illegal procession to Parliament over the poor state of Makindye – Salama road,” he added.

Enanga also said police had arrested a cyber stalker who would lure his unsuspecting victims and end up sexually exploiting them.

“The police in Kampala Metropolitan and Nagalama Division managed to arrest an 18-year-old Facebook scammer for luring female job seekers and eventually raping them. He was identified as Lubega Ashraf from Katosi village, Kisoga sub-county, Mukono district,” Enanga said.

“He created a fake identity on Facebook, calling himself Dr. Ronnie of Medical Scrub Uganda, which was advertising medical jobs. He was doing this in Kayunga and Mukono areas,” he added
