Finally!: The anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023 returns in parliament on the 2nd of may 2023

Members of the parliament of Uganda seems to be more than serious regarding the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023.


The the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023 has finally  reflected on next week's order paper. 


The Bill is in the 33rd setting of the 3rd meeting of the 2nd session of the 11th parliament of  Uganda on 2nd may 2023 and commencement time is 10:00 am.


The November house will kick off with a prayer, Communication from the chair the the Motion for reconsideration  of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023 as returned by president M7 in accordance with article 91(3)(B) of the constitution and rules 142 of procedure /45 minutes/. The motion will be moved by Hon, Asuman Basalirw, the Bugiri municipality member of parliament.

Members of the parliament of Uganda recently overwhelmingly passed the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023. 


The bill was then sent to President Yoweri Kaguta M7 for approval, surprisingly president M7 turned it down after being advised by the attorney General.


According to President M7, the bill had loopholes that needed more reviews before he signs it into law.


Last week, President M7 and all members of NRM party converged at Kololo ceremonial grounds to have final decisions on the bill. 


The president then met with the parliamentary legal committee at Entebbe state house, where he suggested that the bill bounces back to parliament for review.
