The state minister for Karamoja affairs as well as woman member of parliament representing Bududa district, Hon. Agnes Nandutu has been detained at Kira Division Police station after she handed herself in to the CID headquarters at Kibuli, Kampala for questioning over theft of iron sheets and abuse of office.
Minister Nandutu who was in hiding hands self in to police for questioning over Karamoja iron sheets today 18th April 2023 but little did she know that she would be detained.
- The Presidential Affairs committee has concluded its probe into the same scandal and says it’s now drafting its report to be laid on the floor of Parliament.
After days of eluding police, the state minister for Karamoja affairs, Ms Agnes Nandutu turned up at the police Criminal Investigations Department and Kibuli, Kampala for questioning. Nandutu had previously failed to show up for further questioning, raising prospects that police would hunt down and arrest her. She is now expected to appear before the Anti-Corruption court tomorrow 19th 2023 on corruption related charges.
