Mbale school for the deaf is located in the Mbale district and it's a special needs school. It's a school that was collapsing and only had 48 students at the time the current head Sis Nelima Rosemary was transferred there.

The school flourished and it's now having over 500 students and also has a vocational wing. 

The school has got machinery which had been kept because it had no suitable instructors.

Sis Rose the current head teacher wrote to the UPDF engineering brigade which deployed Army engineers who have been operating the machines currently the school can assemble cars, produces senior carpenters, and plumbers do welders,  brskillicklaying, construction, hairdressing, and tailoring. Indeed hand skilling is at the top of this.

The school has a secondary department from S1 to S6 and is fully functional. The government has been in full support until recently when the school started getting problems.

It's said that the commissioner of special needs Mrs. Bugosi Sarah who was before a councilor and DEO of sironko district and later chased from there because of confusion started the war at this school after realizing that she is not benefiting from theirs. 

An Audio circulating shows that she went there and told teachers and students not to even eat from the school because the head teacher will poison them. She went ahead to promise them that she will show the headteacher that she is above her and winterly make sure that she is transferred because she works from the center.

Since then she has influenced a lot of confusion by using the Mbale district education office to influence the confusion at School. The school has always been in sponsored confusion and at times they confess. Recently the students who striked named teachers called Airo Joan and Oknog Ambrose took them out on daily exercise and instead gave them placards to display, they apologized, and when our investigators tried to analyze they realised that the two are the of confusion at school.

Recently the old students were ferried to Kampala through her efforts to strike at the embassy house demanding the transfer of the headteacher and everyone was wondering what the problem could be until when one of the students later confessed the influence of the commissioner who promised them juicy appointments.

It's said that in Mbale district if you don't give the officials a kickbacks you can't be a headteacher of any powerful school for a year. So the Busoba sub county community through the LC1,LC2,LC3 and the community around gathered and demonstrated in demand of the three allies of the commissioner and district inspector of schools fueling the confusion to be removed from the school and leave there headteacher who has developed the school from zero to where it is.

A one community elder told our website that comparing the past state of the school and the current one Sister rose Nelima should be left alone or else they remove the school from there community and take it in a different place because the community is a stake holder of the school too.
