M7 rejects Signing on the Anti-Homosexuality bill - Returns it to parliament for more reviews.

HOMOSEXUALITY BILL RETURNS TO PARLIAMENT

The Parliamentary Caucus of the NRM Members of Parliament have today met at Kololo Ceremonial Ground and resolved that the Homosexuality Bill be returned to the House for improvement by considering inclusion of  areas that had not been catered for. 

The decision was reached in presence of the President and National Chairman of NRM H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who earlier gave a key note address to the Parliamentarians. The Legislators unanimously agreed to provide for an amnesty to cater for those that publicly denounce the vice. Such individuals will have to undergo a rehabilitation to help them get back to normal.

It was also observed that Clause 14 which makes it an offence not to report homosexuality be considered for a delete.  After exhaustively examining all related issues and reviewing previous discussions, the Legislators advised the President to send back the bill to Parliament for it's improvement.

The President  said he was supportive to the Bill adding that homosexuals had no room to publicise or promote this vice within Uganda.
