11 Opposition Woman MPs Arrested as they attempted to match to internal affairs ministry to deliver a petition against police brutality.

Uganda police force has today 27th April 2023 arrested eleven (11) opposition Women Member of parliament at parliamentary Avenue as the attempted to deliver a petition against police brutality to internal affairs ministry.

Scandal erupted as MPs were tear-gassed, manhandled, and arrested at parliamentary avenue.

The arrested MPs include:- Joan Namutaawe (Masaka District), Juliet Kakande (Masaka City), Betty Ethel Naluyima (Wakiso), Joyce Bagala (Mityana), Manjeri Kyebakutika (Jinja City), Nyakato Asinansi (Hoima City), Florence Kabugho (Kasese), Stella Isodo Apolot (Ngora), Helen Nakimuli (Kalangala), Hanifah Nabukeera (Mukono) and Joan Acom Alobo (Soroti City)  

The arrested Members of parliament are currently being detained at  CPS in Kampala.
