PM Nabbanja should resign after admitting she can’t supervise ‘highly educated’ ministers - Journalist Musamali Arnold.

OPINION:  Journalist Musamali Arnold - The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon Robinah Nabbanja should just resign from her office after admitting in a viral video that she can not supervise ministers because they are ‘highly educated’.

During her interaction with Parliament’s Presidential Affairs Committee in the ongoing investigations on the Karamoja iron sheets scandal, Nabbanja said it was not proper for anyone to apportion blame on her, as the overall supervisor, for failing to reign in on the ministers who shared iron sheets meant for the vulnerable persons in Karamoja.

The Office of the Prime Minister which coordinates the distribution of relief items has been in the spotlight, for now, two months with the Minster for Karamoja affairs Mary Goretti Kitutu arrested and remanded over corruption and conspiracy to defraud government.

In the aftermath of the court proceedings last Thursday, many people shifted poles and pointed fingers at the Prime Minister for failing to do her supervisory role.

However, in response to the criticism, Nabbanja who is also among the beneficiaries of the iron sheets diversion said, the ministers who are under her docket are very educated people to the extent that she can’t monitor or supervise their works.

“Some of these Ministers are highly educated. When you look at Hon Kitutu, she is highly educated, she is a Doctor – I don’t know a doctor in which field, but by the time you attain that status, you are highly educated. So I don’t know how you expect me to monitor a highly educated person of her calibre,” Nabbanja told the Committee investigating the saga.

This, however, cant justify or defend PM  Nabbanja, Nabbanja’s statement is an indictment on herself that she is too incompetent to occupy the office of the Prime Minister thus rooting for her resignation or get sacked by the President who is the appointing authority.

Actually  President Kaguta Museveni should demote Nabbanja to a Ministerial position if she doesn't  know the meaning of Prime Minister or the duties of the Prime Minister.

PM Nabbaja should have been among the first people to be thrown in Luzira because it has all been proven that she involved her self in theft .
